Existing investigations exhibited the effects of extended dryings of the herb around the yields, composition, oil excellent, and hepatoprotective at the same time as anti-cancer biological activities in the hydrodistillation-obtained vital oils in the aerial components of the plant. The essential oils’ yields, compositions, and biological activities levels of your fresh and differently timed and room-temperature dried herbs differed considerably. The lowest yields with the vital oil were obtained in the fresh herbs (FH, 631 mg, 0.16 ), though the highest yield was obtained from the two-week dried herbs (2WDH, 1102 mg, 0.28 ). A notable lower in monoterpenes, with increment inside the sesquiterpene constituents, was observed for the FH-based important oil as in comparison to each of the other batches of the critical oils obtained in the differenttimed dried herbs. Additionally, characteristic chemotypic constituents of sage, i.e., -pinene, camphene, -pinene, myrcene, 1, 8-cineole, -thujone, and camphor, had been present in substantially higher proportions in each of the dried herbs’ essential oils as when compared with the FH-based necessary oil. The in vivo hepatoprotective activity demonstrated substantial reductions inside the levels of AST, ALT, and ALP, as well as a important improve in the total protein (p 0.05) contents level, as in comparison with the acetaminophen (AAP) administered experimental group of rats.
